I really enjoyed it. I was dreading it, but I'm sorry I made a snap judgment. It's a good book. Having never ...This book continues Chanda's story. Having never read Chanda's secret, for the most part I didn't notice but when Chanda and her siblings return to her home village to visit her grandparents, there are references made to why her mother left but it was never explained for several chapters. It just left me wondering if I had read the first book, would I already know or not. Other than that it was a powerful book about a very real fictionalized place.
